Taken today in Yorkshire Sculpture Park. This is Spiegel, 2010 by Spanish artist, Jaume Plensa. I was lucky with a two minute window of sun...I hung around for the sunset but it never happened. Clouds covered the fun.
These are fabulous sculptures to photograph.

They look brilliant against that sun and more "lifelike" somehow.

Tried these a couple of time myself Pete, as I only live down the road but not been able to get the right sunrise or sunset and there you go do in one visit.

Got a few from inside the galleries though. Oh by the way this exhibition ends 22/01/12 if anyone's thinking of going.

Fabulous like they are meant to enjoy that sunset. It's almost become part of them. Beautifully captured.........Sandy

Looks particularly good against that sky, with the sunset colours matching the colour of the sculptures.

I've got to get there for sunset some time. Love the way the reflected light merges with the sky.

Nice one Pete. I was lucky when I took my shot that I had clear skies. My daughter and I are going back next week. We only had a few hours last time we were there and there's so much to see. We can't wait, but who knows what the weather will be like Grin

Cracking shot Pete, an almost 'surreal' feel to it.

So many surfaces to catch the light ( & so well caught) I can hear the thunder of feet rushing to this spot already.
