I think this one's the Bolbitius Vitellinus, better known as the Yellow Cow Pat Toadstool. But I may be wrong. Taken at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park Meet 23rd October. Thanks to Ian for dragging me away from a different clump to show me this one Smile

Yep I reckon you should give yourself an HC on this one too....
DOF/POV is spot on and the detail with the water droplets on the stalks of the two muchrooms to the right is exceptional mate!

Love this shot especially the water droplets. Like the way it shows the different shapes as it grows as each one is at a different stage.

The moist conditions really were perfect for this shot. I love the line-up in this composition, and of course you didn't forget to get the background exactly right.

Conrad

so this is what you were doing lying on the wet grass!! nice DoF. cheers, chris

Gorgeous shot. Mounting your camera up-side-down on a tripod, really seems to work for you Pete.

Well captured. Seeing all these shots of fungi is tempting me to buy a macro lens but I can't afford one. May have to go on Santa's list. Thanks for sharing.

Super stuff Pete - only nit pick is whether a slight adjustment of view point would have separated the 2nd schroom from the 3rd. Love the sheen of the wet caps and those droplets really add something. Cheers, Martin

Sadly second and third were touching Martin. I considered cheating and doing a bit of cloning, but if you look close you'll see the tip of the third pressing on the second.
