I'm reasonably sure that this is a Holly Blue - unfortunately the batteries in my camera ran out before I could get any more photos.
Plant is Gaura 'The Bride' - very pretty.

Well captured and presented. I always carry 2 spare batteries in my bag then realise I have left them in the car at the crucial moment! Tongue

the batterries were in the house - not far away as this (and all the butterflies here so far) were taken in the garden. But as they are rechargeable AAs I've got into the habit of running the camera's 'discharge' option before taking them - out so did that instead (need a 'doh' smiley here).

thank-you. There is more contrast / detail that could be wrung out of this but I liked the 'extra petal' effect - if I hadn't been watching it land I'd never have spotted it.
