The title reflects the way in which the diagonal sheets of ice were reaching out across Loch Morlich. I think this must be how the plates of ice (see previous uploads) build up at the edge of the loch, washed up by the swell before they can thicken enough to be immovable. It's about 3 years or more since the loch was sufficiently frozen to walk across.

I can see it's ice, but don't call me a creep!

Lovely side light on the boulder, Al. A warmer and altogether more relaxed image than your 'portraits' (if that makes sense).

Beautifully composed and exposed image, Al. Like the hint of those boulders in the fg and thestrong lead from the ice. Top notch.

A strong comp. With the clouds mimicking the lead in rocks. Well taken shot.
Ant.

Very nice Alan. Beautiful light and I like the foreground to the left of the image. I can't see much detail in the rocks/stones under the water but in fairness that's probably my cra*ppy work monitor.

Probably not your monitor Derek, there's ice over the whole loch which is harder for the polariser to work on. Smile
