The boathouse on Loch Vaa near Aviemore in autumn glory. You can see what a dry autumn it was by the expanse of exposed bank.

You'd struggle to launch a boat from there...Grin

Lovely shot Al, excellent colours and composition.

The lighting is just a touch flat (checked levels in PS) but I actually prefer it, gives an overall matt look to the image with the water providing some semi-gloss. The shore line gives an excellent lead in from the left corner, through the boat house and across. The very earthy colours makes a fine image, Al.

The colours and tones in this are absolutely beautiful. The feeling of still and calm are magical Al.

Beautiful composition and colours Al, and I really like the effect of the long exposure on the water.
P.S. The photo of the harbour was taken in Groningen in the North of Holland; it has some canals that are very similar to Amsterdam Smile

A rather soft and dreamy composition Al, and one which allows me to view whilst at the same de-stressing...

Another very nice shot Al , agree with Nathan , very calming effect , didn't think it was one of your best at first but the more you look at it the more your absorbed into the scene , either that or it's the hangover from last night Smilecool stuff as ever , ps tamron lens should be waiting for me when I get back from work Grin .

Thanks Kel, it grew on me in editing too, Was a hurried image on the way home from a night shift in Out of Hours. Glad to hear you took the plunge with the lens! Grin
