Sunset at Lands End, Cornwall.

The sun was dropping down quite quickly behind the cloud bank......and this was one of the first images I took on arrival. Did not immediately notice the light through the arch but once I did see it, I never had much time to catch it before it was gone...

Smile

Beautiful from front to back. I like the use of the foreground with the flowered cliff.

The beam of sunlight shines straight through the arch and leads to the patch of thrift in the FG.
I've never been to Cornwall, I doubt I ever will, but I can enjoy your images from here Jeanie.

Clever you! The beams of light are great but the overall comp excellent despite your 'need for speed!' The wee patch of thrift is beautiful. Mark Bauer and Ross Hoddinott have been posting images from that area on FB (that you have probably seen) and you can see the thrift has continued to bloom.

That threaded needle just had to take centre stage. Excellent image, Jeanie.

Another super image Jeanie - you certainly get about, I've just viewed and commented on one of your images of the Quiraing on Skye and now here you are at Lands End !! Certainly worth the mileage you're putting in though !! SmileSmile

Phil.
