It's got to be easier to take a photograph of an apple...

In my opinion, this is how to take a picture of a blonde.

It doesn't look that simple or easy to me, Alice.

You have to be good to take a portrait in landscape format. You are that good. Well done!

In my opinion, this is a textbook example of how to take a 'bike shot' - no wonder photodoktor likes it.

Papaitonga Wetland Reserve

Papaitonga Wetland Reserve by paulknight

As far as photographic technique is concerned, the exposure looks correct to me. I think I can see details in the shadows. And if there were any I think I would be able to see details in the highlights as well. Those details look sharp to me so there can't be much wrong with the focussing, either.

With regard to the composition of the image, it looks as though you have divided up the frame according to the Rule of Thirds: two-thirds wetland, one-third dryland. Perhaps, I might have cropped the one-twentieth of dryland at the top of the frame?

Finally, I'm afraid I must admit that I do feel that this photograph does lack a little impact in my opinion. I think it needs some foreground interest, even if it is only somebody admiring the view.

Not a lot wrong with this shot. If anything.

Mirror Image.

Mirror Image. by Niknut

Obviously, I am going to vote for this photograph. However, I am also going to have a moan. I think you should have cropped a little off the top of this photograph, so that it is horizontally symmetrical. I mean, you have called it a Mirror Image.
