Well, the East of Swindon at least!!.
Captured this frosty scene this morning of the frozen Peatmoor Lake, Swindon with the Pagoda Island covered in frost.
I would be interested in thought's as to how this could be improved, I'm still trying new things when it comes to Landscapes.
Many thanks as always.

I love the zap of red, it works well.
Lovely image and great comp'. Love the splash of red.
Looks pretty good to me Phil, everything seems to be in the right place and the exposure seems well balanced too. You should have a little more confidence in your landscapes if this is owt to go by!!!
Beautiful image lovely and wintry

Well . . . . in my humble opinion, nothing! I think it is a perfect, & well composed landscape. A picture post card image.
exposure, composition etc bang on.
i dont see much to improve in my opinion.
i think a crop may be nice and i will post one later tonight when i get a chance, but will it make it better, maybe not, just my personal preference.
A very pretty picture
Perfect shot! Fascinating!
Wow!, to say I'm overjoyed at the response would be an understatement....Thank you all so very much.
A superbly composed winter scene Phil, i'd never have guessed this was Swindon! You should sell this one to the local tourist board
Thanks Ed, this is right next to the Oriental restaurant which is just out of shot to the right, and directly alongside the new driving test centre which will open in March.
Agree with every word.
Thank you for the mod Ian, I had thought of that crop, to lose a little of the foreground, your upload looks great.
Great looking winter shot and the little bit of red from the Pagoda looks great.
Was this shot taken this morning as it was very white when I past that way this morning?
I live in Grange Park, just around the corner.
Taken around 12 o'clock, I was just on the way back from Frshbrook towards North Swindon when I noticed the view as I passed in the car, pulled over into the restaurant car park, and set the camera on the metal railings around the sluice part of the lake.
I like it as it is, well spotted
fabulous love how the columns stand out in red... stunning work
The red just adds to the picture that bit more well done
Very striking, beautiful shot. Well presented - the frame is ideal.
Awsome capture...love it!
Glad to be the 30th, nice image.
fantastic winter shot! Wouldn´t change a thing, or a slight crop from the bottom !??
Classic work......the reds add an interest!
Perfect composition, Phil. Ron.
This is excellent Phil - a wonderful snow scene - you should be well pleased.
I noticed the mod :- I feel your version looks far superior - impact is lost when the snow is cropped off of the bottom. Leave it alone imo.
A fabulous image, Phil, I wouldn't change a thing, it's just perfect as it is. Carol
Love the red which give this a zap of colour & the composition is great with the curve of the frozen lake coming in from the right leading you into the image.
this is fabulous, have seen the mod, but it doesnt need the crop for me. lesley
Fabulous! Born and raised in Swindon but never seen it look as good!
I'm really grateful to you all for the comments, thank you so much.
Its a beauty!!
Stands out from the crowd. Crisp and lovely colour. Good work. Andy
I am very weak when it comes to landscapes, but I find this image very appealing!
Personally, I wouldn't crop it, I don't think you can improve upon it.
Can't see how you can improve this shot. It's lovely. Ray
I have added a not about the birds who crash the window on the page re; you comment-- believe they survive
Lovely composition to this Phil and the pagoda adds such a splash of colour to a great winter scene.
Magnificent shot, Phil. Would look fantastic as a wall-size print.
Not much wrong with this Phil - beautiful light, exposure spot on with excellent tones and a very effective composition. I would certainly be pleased with it.
So pleased to make this 100 Phil, it's an oustanding shot, one to be proud of.
stunning capture phil ,improve ??? 100 + !!!
This is a beautiful image! Although I can`t see anything wrong with it, I do think the crop from Ian makes it a `little` more to a judges liking!
