A follow up to a recent shot (Flower Power) from the Barn Owl Centre that I posted a few days back.

For this image I tried to get a lower pov to try to show Turner's eyes just above the level of the colourful meadow flowers.
I am not sure if the oof flowers in the foreground detracts away from Turner too much.

Thank you for viewing and for your thoughts.

Phil

Great nature and pictorial photography combined making excellent use of limited depth of field - a real beauty.

Delightful. A sight not often seen, those sharp, round, red eyes complement the surrounding spring flowers superbly.

" I am not sure if the oof flowers in the foreground detracts away from Turner too much ".

I think it does Phil. The capture of the Owl portrait is well up to your usual high standard but all the OOF foliage does not look right to my eye, there is just a bit too much ( still wish I had taken the shot tho !!! ).

I like those blurred flowers like splodges of paint around the striking, and very sharp, owl. The hint of orange flowers on the right balances the colour of his eyes. I love painterly pictures!
