Another couple of shot's from the Wiltshire Steam and Vintage Rally which was held in glorious weather over the past weekend.
My wife had a stand in the craft tent selling greeting cards and prints and did very well over the two day's, and I managed to grab a few shot's as well!!
These beauties I managed to capture at the show last year, and was one of my favourite pics of 2007, so I was looking forwad to getting a few more this year. Here are the results
We met the owners and the ploughman and sold them some prints and cards of the horses as well.
I present Katie & Molly ploughing the filed in all their glory, I hope you like the shot.
Also posted a portrait shot of the pair, showing what a great bond they have together.
Thank you for looking.
Beautiful image. Superb colours and detail. Love it!
Stunning capture. Faultless
V2 is superb...v1 not bad either
These shots are wonderful , I love the tough action, hard work look and those festive ear covers!
Great composition, the viewpoint from the driver to the horses heads forms a triangle.
Great colour and pin sharp.
Congratulations, a pleasure to view.
A special shot this one Phil
These are one of the most beautiful creatures on this planet such strength and stamina yet so graceful and gentle. Fantastic pictures number 2 is my favorite but both are great.
Really superb shot, perfect DoF to include the driver. Fantastic detail and colour. Lovely.
Both are super images. Well done!
A magical scene of the glory days before mass farming forced their retirement.
Cracking shots.. love V1
Absolutely fantastic and you have done a wonderful job of capturing them in there glory (working). kaz
Two lovely shots of these great horses.
I prefer No 2 but they are both fantastic images: pin sharp and very colourful. Not surprised you went looking for these glorious animals again this year.
both nice shots
clydsdale or shires?
(can.t see the hooves)
Wow, Phil, these are both wonderful, but my heart lies with V2, Katie and Molly, obviously great pals, sharing some gossip about the day.
Fine working horse pic.. Peter
Outstanding rendition of a country scene. The scale of the horses is dramatically illustrated and emphasised against the figure behind. The composition is perfectly aligned and colours and lighting beautifully controlled. Wonderful shot. Andy I
Very nice shot Phil. Wonderful sensation of the sheer power of the horses & the concentration of the driver (if that's the right word). Love the decorations on the ears. One little niggle - I think you've cropped it a bit tight on the bottom. Great shot though & love the portraits in V2.
Fabulous images. Carol
I especially like V1 Phil it captures perfectly the feel of the action.
Superb shot Phil. The low viewpoint is just perfect.
Beautiful animals expertly photographed.
superbly captured phil, wonderful detail and dof, colours and movement
Two grand images Phil, both are first class. What a splendid sight this must have been to behold
