With today being the Spring Equinox, my mind has been taken back 4 years to a image that I made of my beautiful little girl Ruby, who always loved to be the centre of attention after suffering years of neglect as a Puppy farm breeding bitch before we rescued her and, I hope, made her final years a little happier.
I had been out trying to photograph Snowdrops, and as usual, Ruby would never be far from my side. I had found a nice batch of flowers and had framed up a shot using my 70-300 lens at 300mm to blur out the background and just focus on a couple of stems, when I was aware that something had blocked my view. She knew just where to sit to make sure she was framed perfectly in the shot when I pulled back the zoom.
Still miss you Ruby, but I know that you are still close by because I am sure that it is you that is putting Oliver up to the little tricks he is pulling.

Many thansk for looking.

Phil

the main "problem" with these faithful companions is they have often too short life time Sad, .. anyway, shorter than ours; ..
great posing indeed, .. and and also expo and detail rendering Smile

She will always be remembered even without such an image, but with it, how much better: a lovely shot of her 'ironing' the snowdropsWinkWink.
