Trying out the new camera on a gloomy grotty day, using my knocked around Sigma 170-500 lens.

I think I know what my next purchase is going to be.........think that lens has seen better days.

I think you did a fine job. I have the D5100 but I looked at the D7000 it is awesome but a little to much money for me just starting out.
