This has to be the best wildlife action shot I have seen in many a year. The timing and detail is superb. This is action of first class in all aspects. I recently saw all the wildlife photographer of the year photos and this tops all of those I saw
Brilliant capture

Thank you all for your comments.... looking through the profiles of all above there's a lot of amazing images ...and fantastic Photographers out there so all.... keep up the good work...thanks again for your comments.
I'm going to break my personal rules for POTW this week. I always select from the best of the bunch of PAs, HC and try to pick a shot that would look stunning on canvas, that is technically good, vibrant, sharp, and interesting (often unusual). Here I was gob smacked by the timing. My jaw is still dropped. I think this deserve the accolade for the incredible moment. It may not be razor sharp, but it's razor timing. Unless the rabbits are actors, a fraction of a second earlier we wouldn't have the expressions, a fraction later and we would have a pile up. Perfect response time to deliver us a moment in nature that we would not normally see.
Works for me, an excellent capture right up there with the best.
John
This must be a 1st.... 1st upload, 1st HC and POW..... what next?
A cracking image... a very big congrats on your awards.

SUPERB....I would like to congatulate you on this image....I have walked the fields near and far where I live....even just to get one hare never mind to in conflict....I have spent hour after hour in my search for a year....maybe next year....then again maybe not.....lol....but i will try
Regards,
Terry
I am overwhelmed with the comments that you all have written about this image ,an image in time.... that I have for a long time wanted to achive..... in this world you generally never get something for nothing and for wildlife thats true , patience and perseverance is you only tool...again many thanks and wish you all the very best
Few images resonate this is one of the few. As has already been said but its worth repeating its that moment seconds later or earlier & you would have not got the impact that this has. I almost trod on a hare last year & promised to go back to see if I might see something like this. What time of year was this taken?
Fantastic image , its all about being at the right place at the right time, weel done.
What an amazing scene to witness and to capture so well with a camera.
Phil.
WOW. you must be thrilled to get such a perfect capture,I wish it was mine- I'll just have to persevere, it is the forlorn hope of getting shots like this that drives us on.
Fantastic timing. Congratulations on the response. I hope you get it published somewhere.
Helen

i cant take my eyes off it!
outstanding detail, everything, perfect.
i love it.
xx
One of the best photos I've ever seen. Obviously taken in the spring.I also witness such a scene many years ago and this is etched into my memory. Wonderfull, can I say more? Well done, Pete Howe
Stephen, have just been through your portfolio and decided we need a 'vote for all' button as it has taken me so long to vote on the majority of your photos individually! Then the icing on the cake was this shot - absolutely stunning. Having sat patiently in a field on several occasions trying to capture this elusive animal, it is no mean feat what you have achieved. You deserve every accolade - just wish we could see your photos in large! Well done - John
Great shot. With both animals off the ground, this makes a superb example.
