A Marbled white Melanargia galathea, with the focal point on the eyes

After the response to yesterday's L-tt, with only the head in focus, thought I would try the same, with one of my favourite butterfliesSmile

It is the same MW as featured in Twywell 2012 No 49, though this was taken a few minutes earlier. I guess she was starting to soak up the early morning sunGrin
Near as dammit full frameSmile

Love the full frontal, Adrian Wink. A beautiful spring-like day, no wind, but tomorrow's another story Sad Carol

Superb detail at all levels from f/13.0 aperture: beautiful image showing so crisply against that fairly uniform green b/g tone.

An excellent eye to eye of your favourite flutterby.
There is a sort of marbled white in Malaysia, too. It is between our and the veined white. As soon as I manage to get a better shot I'll post it for you .
