We had half a day free today and went to visit the National Trust property at Dyrham Park, which is close to Bath.
The park is home to a herd of Fallow Deer, approx 190 at present, and we hoped to catch the last few happenings of the Rut.
There were a few Large Bucks, strutting their stuff and bellowing a lot, but no head to head combat, so I concentrated more on getting some more artistic shots of the Deer's.
I liked the light on this one, and the fact it was coming up over the brow of the hill, with a view over the Gloucestershire countryside behind it.
Hope you like it, thanks for loooking.
Phil

Cracking shot Phil, wonderful timing and composition

You said it yourself, Phil, a more artistic shot of the deer. It's the tones that first attracted me, but it's your control of dof and the clarity on the deer that make this one of your best.
Another outstanding image Phil, this series has been a real pleasure to view
