This is one of my favourite shots of the Ospreys captured on a recent visit to the highlands. I like the raw power in this shot as the bird lifts itself from the water with its catch.
Please view large for detail if time allows as this image doesn't retain the impact small
.
Big thanks for all the UA's on yesterdayd upload, they are greatly appreciated.
With regards Fish

Well deserved POTW...there has been some fantastic shots from the group that travelled to this shoot but this just edges the lots methinks
A truely stunning picture. The bird is so beautiful. Well done achieving this amazing shot. Louise
Just to add a comment with a little more in-depth positive constructive criticism. I have an idea - the dark water at the bottom of the frame I feel needs a similar effect in darkening the background for the top of the frame edges or keeping the top the way it is and lightening the water at the bottom.
I feel both will still hold the energy of the shot and still encapsulate the image in a 3diminantion illusion.
Also around the left hand of the osprey may look great with added water spray at a pixel level.
and my last idea is that the removal of the lake shore line to the left of the subject matter due to my eyes are drawn to it... my eye viewing seems to be 1st osprey -2nd head of fish the 3rd lack shore line.
I'm not right in my opinion its just a positive observation looking through my eyes...
Wow i am only a year or so late seeing this awesome image, and what a cracker it is,one of my fav's on here, great work indeed,
John.
