Storm
A neat idea having the lone cow here, nice contrast between the grass and the dark sky.I do think it could be improved by cropping a quarter way in from the right and about a third down from the top. This would leave the cow over to the right and still leaving white clouds to frame the top, which would be a much better composition.
A personal opinion only.

Colwyn Bay - North Wales
Hi Andy, Like the tones and the exposure for the water. I do feel it might have been improved by moving to the left slightly so that the far end of the pier was in view. As it is everything is on the left of the frame and appears crowded and the right of the frame is empty compared to the left side.
Sorry to appear so negative and out of touch with everyone else but generally I do like it, the processing is good and still gets my vote

Like the reflections in the ice that you have here Pete. This image is really about the birds and the reflections so I think this might be improved with a close crop just above the posts and taking out the single ducks to the left and right. That would give more emphasis on the centre birds and the reflections.
Just my personal opinion, but might be worth a try.

Cold
There's a lot I like about this shot Dave, good skin tone, colours and a nice clear image. My only niggle is I find it a little claustrophobic, and would liked to have seen a little more space on the left and top, not too much but enough so that you don’t look squashed in to a little box. You say you haven't got much room so maybe it wasn't an option
Certainly gets my vote though.
