Sue had to go over to skye on friday for work and I took the opportunity to visit the Storr pinnacles.
Weather held out for a short while when I got there but then it snowed, hailed and rained.
Got a few photos but if I hadn't got any it would have been worth the visit anyway.

Weather has been rubbish up here all week. Snow, rain, sleet & just too much cloud. Best time to shoot this is day break in mid winter but you have to start the walk in the dark. Mid summer is rubbish cos the sun ends up almost behind you, the colours are just green and you have to get out of bed at 3 in the morning. (or stay up all night)
I really like this Phil. It has a foreground a middle and background, and each are great, and go together to make a fine comp. The sky stretches like a blanket over the whole scene and gives a wonderful moody feel to it, to say nothing of damp and dreary.

What a breathtaking view, Phil, so very atmospheric, too. Those rocks are magnificent. Beautifully captured.
