Migrant Hawker-female

Migrant Hawker-female by PaulLiley

Female Migrant Hawker... The golf tee mark on S1 is the tell tale ID

Dragonfly

Dragonfly by Maiwand

Never an easy image... not an emperor, definitely a Migrant Hawker although one the major diagnostics is not visible in your image.

They don't perch for long during the day, I think you will find that this is a Migrant Hawker not an Emperor...

Common Darter 2

Common Darter 2 by Ted447

Agree lower portion is distracting BTW this would appear to be a Ruddy Darter, black legs, constriction to S4 and the red frons are diagnostic

Ruddy Darter - Female

Ruddy Darter - Female by JezM

Nice... at this small size it is difficult to tell but the legs look to be all black which would indicate a Ruddy Darter rather than a common.....

I think you will find that this is a female Banded Demoiselle.....

License?

This looks to be a nest site if so as a schedule 1 bird you need a license to carry out any photography near the nest...

Nuthatch

Good pose... enjoy the lens, although I have a new bigger lens I will never be parted from my 300.

Have you used NR on this? When I look at the large version the feather detail appears to be 'smudged', if you have used NR then it might be worth looking at edge masks.

All the best

Good one Greg... for me it is a shame that there is a touch of motion blur on the head, difficult to avoid I should imagine, also it looks a touch on the dark (underexposed) side to me, the detail is there so I just wonder if your monitor is set up correctly?

A Good Drying Day

A Good Drying Day by terry_cavner

They're not ugly, they are just well comorant looking.....

Nice composition and a nice perch with the bird in typical wing drying pose, the image as presented is lacking contrast, you can push those blacks quite a bit and still retain detail, looking at the noise under the wing it appears that you have brought the exposure up quite a bit (could be wrong here), rather too much.
