Hi,

Escaped from decorating the spare room for a couple of hours today, not enough time to head for the coast so went to visit the local Stonechats with the intention of capturing some images of the female as I have quite a few of the male.

They only visited twice in the time I was there but managed to get this shot of the female about to take off.

All the best

Phil

Just popped back to see how this was doing and frankly I'm shocked, deserves far more attention than this.

The tones of the BG are superb, the feather detail and catch light in the eye round of what is a great picture.
Nice work.

Thanks all...

Leeg.... a lot depends on the bird, some are very tolerant, others not so. A lot depends on the way the flash catches the bird, if they are not looking directly in your direction then there is not too much of a problem.

Hi Phil, just catching up, and was very pleased to find this. A beautiful sharp capture, excellent work as always.

I am sorry I missed you and my other two mates on Saturday, was busy doing the last minute Christmas shopping lol.

Take care and enjoy your Christmas. I WILL catch up with you soon!
