Very nice Phil.
The emerging leaves are a real bonus and I particularly like the birds sideways pose, showing that long tail off.
I find the out of focus leaves on the right a little distracting and my preference would be to crop a small section off to lose them.

Nice shot. Some great pics in your 'folio, I'm impressed. (I do prefer them without the watermark though!)
Cheers.

I find the copyright text detracts from the photo considerably for me - especially on a site like this - or is it done to advertise the fact that you are a professional photographer?

Is there any particular legal reason for posting it like this as if anyone wanted to steal your shot it could easily be cloned out. Given that the upload size of your photo is so small I would have thought that was unlikely to happen anyway.

fossilized....

I apologise if my copyright notice offends, no it is not to advertise the fact that I am a professional, the reason it is there is simply that I am lazy and the images posted here are repurposed.

I don't go out of my way to point out that I am a professional and as far as I am concerned it does not make me a better photographer, many of the wildlife photographers both here and elsewhere that I admire are not pros. I do try however to help people when I can, I don't get a great deal of time to comment so when I do I try to be constructive and point out where IMO improvements could be made and to that end I thought it would be useful for some of my images to be posted on this site.

So for all my repurposed images the copyright will remain as is my right.

All the best & thanks to everyone for the kind comments.

Phil

Fair enough. I didn't say it offended me at all, just that I found it detracted in that I found it intrusive.

It was actually just a genuine enquiry as to why people copyrighted these small photos. Didn't mean to irritate you. I just wondered if it made any legal difference in the event of anyone who might copy it. Wasn't trying to offend you.
