After uploading my 'Bubbles of Colours' and six variants, yesterday, most of the people who viewed the variants were most impressed by this one.
Consequently, I decided to upload the variant in its own right, today.
This image is of the bowl which was featured in my recent 'glass' series.
The bowl (iittala - made in Finland) has ribbed sides, and the base is made up of glass 'droplets' or 'bubbles'. You'll notice that the glass bubbles protrude from the base of the bowl, hence, when the bowl is placed on a flat surface, such as a table, the bubbles are what actually touches the surface. You can view a plate that is similar to the salad bowl that I used to capture these images, by clicking on this link.
In this version, I turned the bowl upside down, and with the use of a dark blue light against a black background, and some adjustments in Photoshop, this is the result.
