These images were created by holding the camera lens close to the inside base of a glass salad bowl, and pointing the bowl towards different things. The bowl has ribbed sides, and the base is made up of glass 'drops' or bubbles. The results are quite interesting.

In this version, I pointed the bowl towards the setting sun.

You need the correct sort of textured glass to achieve this sort of effect, followed by considerable skill.
A great set o abstract shots with V 4 my favourite too.......love all the detail in both bubbles and ribbed sides, Phil.

Very creative and effective! Wonderful colours too. Such a simple concept, I wish I had thought of doing this...mind you I would have to find a suitable bowl first!
I like each image but I prefer variations 1 and 5 best of all!
