This image was captured by placing the macro lens of the camera close to a clear, thick, solid, round glass lid of an Orrefors decanter. The lid, about three inches high, and about 1 1/2 inches across, contained a large air bubble, and an indented base. The decanter lid was in front of the leaves of a Dwarf Nandina bush in the garden, in full sunlight, on a cloudless day. The image was then processed in Photoshop, where it was cropped, so that the sides of the lid were removed, and then a great deal of saturation and contrast was added. The blue in the indented base of the lid is a reflection of the sky, and the reds, creams and yellows, are the leaves of the Nandina bush....all distored by the thickness and shape of the lid.

An excellent piece of work Phillip, a great deal of thought and preparation given to it was well. Nicely done.

A lot of thought and work has gone into creating this vibrant eye catching glass study, Phil, but the effort has been rewarded so much.

I've given up trying to understand what you did here, Phillip, but thaat's more down to the red stuff in the glass in front of me rather than your description.Wink
Marvellous it is, though.

What an incredibly vibrant result you have achieved, Phillip, it looks like a bubble floating on water that is reflecting a beautiful background.
