Best one yet!
I might crop the bottom a bit to place one/either/both of the yellow lines in the corner, otherwise, I'd leave it alone.
Bren.
This might almost make me want to do a long exposure shot. Excellent work.
I've been interested in your light trails pictures, Phil, but haven't commented because I have no knowledge about it at all. So, I'd just like to say that this is definitely my favourite. You've combined your talent for composition with your new talent for light trails, and it works so well, especially with the town hall in the background and the deep blue sky. The starry lights add a touch of magic.
Pamela.
Paul, I knew the foreground wouldn't appeal to everyone. Will try landscape but may be difficult due to the railings just out of the frame.
Pamela, I'm pleased you finally decided to comment. I think this has far more elements that come together well. Shooting just after the sun goes down gives that lovely blue sky so I must try to remember that. I hope I get back to try more!
Thanks,
Phil
It's pretty good for this genre of shot. I would suggest cloning out the starburst top right...put your finger over it and the image looks cleaner. Also the half starburst on the left side edge. As for the rest, the exposure is good with light still in the sky and the composition works well, for me.
Nick
be brave - get out into the road a little more and use the yellow lines -too much pavement here really. Also, use a grad in Lightroom to add contrast to the foreground and darken it down a bit
the main interest is the town hall and the lights, so get them to stand out more ![]()
