Not sure if the composition works here and is the background too dark?
It may seem as though the image needs rotating but the camera was level as the plant was leaning over like this.
I would have liked f/11 or even f/16 but I needed to retain a high shutter speed due to wind and ISO was already high enough.
Looking forward to your comments though not sure when I will catch up as I am flying to Turkey today.
Phil

The comp is good Phil and the diagonal line of
flower is spot on. Good DOF and not too dark
although the bright blue circles are a bit
distracting - maybe clone them out?
Have a good holiday.

Nice pic Phil Digitalis or Foxglove, you choose.

I have offered a mod because I prefer to see more of the blooms than seeds, especially as most are not in focus. Hope you approve.

We seemed to have done the packing quicker than anticipatedGrin
Thanks Morag, fair point about the blue bokeh.
To be honest, Frank I did have a play with different crops but decided to upload it as shot. I didn't try square though and I think it works quite well.

The background looks fine to me, Phil.
My choice of presentation would be Frank's crop.
It's always good to show the insides of the foxglove flowers because they are so pretty, so I think you've done a fine job here.
Pamela.

Quality as usual but I would come in much tighter. Just the flower heads, still on the diagonal. BG OK.

Sorry for the delay, been having too much fun in TurkeyGrin
The tighter crop seems unanimous so I will see if I can get closer at the taking stage.
Thanks again Pamela and Paul.
