This is an alternate version of my very first upload on epz. It was taken a few seconds earlier and I have flipped the image horizontally. I think this is a stronger composition and includes all the swan's head in the reflection.
This is also the source of my avatar.
I hope you enjoy and please feel free to comment.

A tad more detail n the swan would have been nice, but still a lovely piece. Paul

Many thanks everyone for the kind comments.

Paul, I will have a look back at the original to see if more detail is present but I doubt it.

Cheers, Phil

This is nice after a dismal first half in the England match. Many thanks to everyone who has voted and commented, very much appreciated.

This is really special, Phil.

Much stronger than the other version because the composition is so much better. Here, the swan is carefully placed in the frame whereas, in the other one, it's too centred, horizontally, and too low so the reflection is incomplete. You've also done a better job of processing this one, with better control of the tones in the mist and a really nice layering effect in the background.

Many thanks David, I hope this shows I have learnt something since joining epz. I actually dismissed this shot originally in favour of the other mainly because of the ripples.
Cheers, Phil

Stunning photo.

I love the atmosphere and the colours, I agree with you that this composition is more pleasing to the eye. Was it taken early morning? Did you use any filter?
