We were in Northumberland recently for a couple of weeks and enjoyed lovely weather.
However on one Saturday evening a bitter cold wind got up and whipped the sea into a foaming froth. I have many colour images from this shoot but feel thst the mono image conveys how cold it was, much better.

Comments Good or Bad are always welcomed, thanks for looking.

very well suited to the mono conversion, Dunstanburgh castle provides the perfect backdrop, captures the wild conditions of this rugged coastline very well.

Love the composition of this one, much different to the usual Dunstanburgh shots from the Craster side. Mono works well too and the choice of shutter speed freezes the waves well making them look as cold as they probably feel.

Love the POV of this . I have tried from here but never got it right . This is superb . Love the mono conversion and the water movement is absolutely spot on and not overdone . Must be quite a crop because you look as if you were actually stood in the harbour . Will be back up there myself in a week's time for a week or so . Great work ...Phil

Wonderful image, great mono conversion

Chris

Very nice image, a wonderful refreshing view. The crumbling castle works perfectly as a backdrop to that sea!

I had a gorgeous and very welcome cup of coffee just up the road from there a while back. On a day that looked a bit like this! lol

The crop and the boat really add to the shot.

Cheers, Sean
