I waited for 4 hours in cold, it was freezing but I knew is going to come, and it came, the light! I got back home happy.
Excellent light..got me thinking of the Pink Floyd album.
Well taken and deserved after your patient wait.
Fabulous light and this jumped out from the thumbnails. Personally I would remove the web address from the bottom right corner though, or make it more discreet - bit distracting.
Hi jeanie, thanks for your comments. You are right but I got of my some pictures stolen and used on other websites, hence the (rather annoying) watermark.
I canít anyway replace the photo now, can I?
p.s. by the way, you some great shots in your Portfolio
I really like the contrast in this, excellent reflections too - should love to see a larger version
Many thanks for your comments all.
Sezz, please see my message above regaring size.
A great capture of an iconic building
Wonderful light well worth the wait in the cold.
Very hard to say if your watermark would stop the image from being
stolen or not may be we all have to think about this and some form of metadata protection is required .
thanks guys, you are right Charlesmoss, yes, we should all think about that.
The result was worth the 4 hour wait ... perseverance had its reward!
It took a spectacular landscape with a wonderful light. Congratulations! +
Super shot...very Pink Floyd as mentioned above. I love this building....so glad it wasn't ripped down after all.
must have warmed you up when you saw this one on your computer stunning capture
Well worth the wait ,super image with amazing light .
Excellent shot - well taken !
Definitely worth the wait - excellent.
Fabulous light and a beautiful image as a result. Worth a four hour wait? .... not for me cos I'm a lazy softy but I'm glad that you did
Easy for me to say, but I think your long wait had paid excellent dividends.....marvellous low light shot.
I'd have been happy too, light like that was worth the wait.
Indeed rbai2007, isnít photography about planning, patience and perseverance? And these not only applies on landscape or cityscape work, I think thy also apply on other areas of photography as well.
I teach photography and I always highlight these aspects to my students: photography is planning, patience, determination and passion all of these in conjunction with some good technical skills.
JeniTLC - indeed, this is one of my favourite subjects in London. You can't believe that this building is derelict. It is a ruin which decays so gracefully without any visible marks of vandalism. In my humble opinion, this is one of the most beautiful and sexy architectural pieces in the world.
By the way, there is a great regeneration project on this area http://www.battersea-powerstation.com/#/home. Not really happy with the fact that the view of the station will be somewhat blocked, so, Londoners, hurry up to take some great shots
andylea: indeed, I felt so happy as my patience has paid off.
Love light and reflection too, well worth that wait.
def a pink floyd special, love the light
Great image. Well worth waiting for.....Derek
wonderful light.... love this - knowing your location and waiting for the light..... a great combination - lesson to be learned from this one it really did all come together here.
great picture ,the comments alone are worth a vote ,Floyds "ANIMALS" came straight back, will probably play it later after this inspiration.Cracker. Just short of the pig. NEIL+FAMILY.
Agree with Buffalo thought of pink floyd straight away but this is better great shot
Stunning picture. Its never looked like this when I've seen it but then I would never have the patience. Brilliant image

Lit just right ..JT
Beautiful light. Well captured.
superb shot nice light.
The light on this is spot on. I never did see it looking like this as a child growing up in London.
Terrific photo, exceptional light well captured.
Outstanding! What can one say? Is beautifully captured and worked.
Probably the best image I've ever seen of this place. You've inspired me to have another go at it.
