Recovering from a hopeless original shot, showing before and after my photoshopping.
The shot was taken as a single exposure just in passing, i had no tripod so took the exposure for the backlight only, in the thought i could do something about it after.
V2 shows the untouched exposure.

As far as how i achieved the shot, in a nut shell there were a lot of layers copied from the original shot then they had the levels altered to different states of contrast etc, then used different opacity on the eraser tool to blend all the different layers together.
I also blended through some colour tinted and slightly blurred layers to add the glow and used a mask to then paint through the new look to how the light fell.
