Caught This Bus

With cloudy skys and dull, flat lighting nearly all day every day it's been virtually futile to try and do any landscape photography lately and it depresses me. I wanted something new for my first upload to Ephotozine,not some old shot. So I went up on to the Forth Road Bridge yesterday evening and amused myself with "Catch That Bus/Truck". It took 74 attempts to capture something presentable. The vital part of the modus operandi is to half depress the shutter button so the camera is focused and ready to fire and then take the shot when the vehicle comes into the viewfinder, or if you're very near the road, when the rear of it has just passed your shoulder. The difficult bit is doing it at exactly the right time. It's not serious photography, just fun. It cheered me up.
