superb shot. Don't know a lot about steam trains except that I like them. An enthusiast friend once told me that in Yorkshire they call this clagging. (perhaps it was Lancashire - sorry!!) Andy

Don't know about the CO2 output. It is a mixture of smoke and steam that enters the atmosphere. On a trip it uses about 16 to 18 tons of coal. Depending on the distance.
