Soap bubbles with coloured refraction from card underneath. I used liquid hand-soap in warm water.
Although these images are highly processed in Photoshop CS6 they are also the result of some considerable effort in photographing them. The set-up is quite involved and I had difficult getting the bubbles and refractions from the coloured card (underneath) right. Because the bubbles from the soap kept dissipating quickly I had to have a plastic tube in my mouth as I shot the other end was in the water dish, so I could 'blow bubbles' as I shot them.

Can we have a photo of the photographer blowing bubble while simultaneously photographing them because I think that should win the 'Mad Photographer Of The Year' award! ![]()

Great shot. Love the colours and distortions.
I may be mad, but there is method in my madness. Actually, it was a tube from my mountain-bike hydration sac (that's a drinking bottle to you). The only technical difficulty is that I'm used to sucking on it (when riding my bike), so I was in danger here of sucking some soapy water!![]()
Bet that would make you pedal faster to the nearest loo lol. like your idea! next time try DVD's in the water and shine a torch or sunlight through the window will do, you can also buy cheap coloured plastic mirrors in different colours to experiment with. I try lots of different idea's and why not if the technology is there use it!. nice one like it, thank you for your vote on my pinball wizard, regards Leon.![]()
