A science lesson on chemistry
Hi Amy, have just been through your PF and read your 'about' page, it's a real shame about the teacher you had at school for photography but here it's very different!! The only criticism you will get will be backed up by genuinely helpful advice. The only mickey taking is light hearted and used only by those who know the other well enough that no offence will be taken, in other words this is a great site!
Looking at what you have put up so far you have the ability to 'see' the small parts of the big picture and that is quite a skill, try as you develop photographically not to lose that.
It's a great hobby and this is a very friendly site, enjoy.
Dave (an old dud )
I love the colours you've captured in the flame!
Low light and no tripod has given you a little blur, but the actual flame is really pretty! I think I would be tempted to crop off as much of the background as possible (making sure the image doesn't pixellate) and perhaps straighten (give a slight anti-clockwise rotation) the actual burner. Do you remember what you were burning to produce this colour?
I like everything about this, including the background. It gives it a "place". Even from the thumb I found it most enchanting. Nicely done!
Thank you so much for all the great comments! I was burning copper sulphate!
Thank you so much Dave for the lovely comment! I will make sure I don't loose it! I love this site! It's full of amazing and stunning images with so many amazing people! Everything is so positive!
Also thank you Karen for the comment!
And thank you very much Joline!
I love reading such positive comments!!!! Thank you so much!!!!
