An interesting shot and thanks for the bg notes - provide a sad and slightly unsettling context - although I suspect a degree of hyperbole perhaps?

As for the shot fine but you have just clipped the poor little fella's back (thats my Rolf Harris impersonation!!) I think I owuld have given teh image a broad black border to hid this perhaps.

Look at all that horrid gold trash he's wearing and compare it to that gorgeous little puppy. Heartbreaking.

Ah, how cruel! How could anyone drown such a cute pup?
Love the contrast between the old hands & the young pup.

An emotive image.

I suspect that those not sold would no doubt be disposed of one way or another.

Working in animal welfare two things always surprise me, the first how little the general public are aware of the low regard some sellers of animals have for their products, and secondly, how badly those animals are treated away from the public gaze, I suspect those puppies disposed of get the better deal, their parents being money making machines suffer for far longer.

I think this image would make a powerful symbol of the plight of the produce of puppy farms.

Sorry for jumping on my soap box, I'll get down now.
