This is one of my favourites of your bird shots Al. A stunning bird thats hard to get, sharp and a lovely comp.

Here's the S**t sandwich......If I put my camera club head on I think a judge would drop a point for the light area top left. Problem is I like the comp so the only solution other than clever cloning out would be to ..... SELECT, ALL, EDIT, TRANSFORM, WARP, grab the top left button and pull upwards hoping not to disfigure the bird. If it distorts the bird make a duplicate layer before above add a layer mask and paint in changed area. Done.
Mind you looking at your Red Kite manipulation shot you probably knew that anyway!

I'm not a rule follower Dave but I think they would have improved this image if used. The foreground rock detail is amazing and I love the glow of the rush, just think the central horizon makes the image more static.
Might be diferent in the monring when I'm sober.

Sorry Al but the composition lets this one down for me. His hand being cut off spoils the image and is pointed out by the bright light on his arm. Perhaps a tight crop to the face und upper body would bring the best out in this image? It's strenghth is his expression and the clothing detail. A good effort though and worth uploading.
