just had a sparrow hawk descend into our garden and take a sparrow while feeding such a shock and displeasure when they have become more seen in this area of late I am sure once they get over the shock they will return

Lovely shot Ann but where is the Sparrowhawk ? I hope you have not glued this little fellas feet to the floor to use him as bait. Keep the camera close by.

Lateral thinking !
Look at it this way .If a Sparrowhawk is in residence then there's likely to be LOTS of grub around,that means lots of lovely 'ickle brown jobs.
