Beautifully shot Ann. It's just a wonderful, summer scene.
The point of focus was perfect too. More of the scene in front than behind the rider & horse is in focus, throwing the emphasis & attention very firmly upon them.
Magic!!
Lovely shot, well caught. I did a mod with less sky just to see if you preferred it
Nice image Ann, the wildflowers add so much to the image of horse & rider. The Mod offered is very good too. My advice generally is lower the iso, you get better quality and contrast in your images. You shot this at 1/1000th a more workable speed and lower iso would have been 1/250th at f/8. A wee bit more depth for the front and a fast enough shutter speed and also the lower iso of 320 or close enough. Balancing the shutter speed to catch the action and giving enough depth with a smaller aperture.

It's a nice scene Ann and I like it
- but it is dull and flat. The light was there - you can see it on the side of the horse.
Done a quick mod to show what I mean. Simple adj of levels and contrast - cropped a little too. Dougie has put you right re exposures.
Brian.

First thing that struck me Ann, Contrast to take away the wash and lift it.

A wonderful English summery looking scene, Ann, very nicely captured ![]()

I should have said - I did contrast and loads of it, also I darkened the foreground as it was over exposed, this was taken when I had my blip weeks ago when forgot to change my iso ![]()
Tomorrow is another day I knew I should have binned it![]()
