I thought he had caught a fish but I dont know now what it is lurking beside the heron's beak - thanks for all c/c's on the previous Heron shot always appreciated

Good action shot............Spotted a Heron on my shed roof the other day but the local crows chased it off...BUT it looks like it went with a belly full of MY Goldfish as we have not seen them since......AND I did not get a pic of it either.

Thats a long shot Ann if its the reeds I think at lavells. Just a little blurring on the head but probably down to the movement as it strikes so quickly.

That's a big lens Ann, and you say mines heavy! but you got the action shot in both of these, probably saw himself, and thought..hmmm handsome bird there in the water, well done to you

Good shot, they are very quick and difficult to catch, (I know, one has been trying to raid our pond for two years and if I get a shot at him it won't be with a camera!)

it was the reeds at the Teal hide, beginning of - the 300 was filled in automatically but it doesnt mention the tc which I used as wellWink
