Had this shot for weeks dunno why I kept it till now but it was difficult deciding the best image from several I guess! thanks for all c/c's on yesterdays upload, I am truly grateful
nice shot - well captured
Excellent shot indeed.
So glad you shared this, just lovely. Great capture, crisp detail.
Superb ... such clarity thanks for sharing Colin
Absolutely perfect. Carol
Wonderful capture Ann, well done.
a real stunner
Excellent detailed capture - well taken!
Nice work again Ann.
a crystal clear image, very well taken.
Stunning capture, wonderful sharp detail & love the BG !! Very well spotted and taken image....
Fab shot Ann. Well done.
Top class capture Ann. I wonder if , since the focus and quality on the GSW is so good, it might benefit from a closer crop ?. Remove a bit of BG behind the trunk on the left and take off some empty space top and bottom. Not too much mind. That would have the effect of moving the bird off centre and giving him a lot more prominence in the frame. He deserves it..
Just my opinion and you may have already considered this.
First class Ann - good work...Bill
Another first class image, Ann, the detail - especially viewed large - is spot-on. Brilliant work.
WOW Anne this is a stunner fair play.Nice work!
Truly excellent GSW capture Ann - great exposure, colours and detail and in such a classic pose. Must say I have to agree with Ron re possible cropping.
Lovely sharp detail and DOF, a real nice one Ann.
A pin sharp capture Ann, such great work.

just catching up again Ann
You captured a fine glint in the eye
Great image Ann... lovely detail and colour.. I agree maybe a closer crop?
Another lovely image Ann.
Nice one Ann, good work
Very good shot and some excellent advice from Ron
Very nice work here Ann. He's gorgeous!
well captured, a very nice image.
Super shot Ann, but if I may be so bold, take a small amount from the RHS and a similar amount from the bottom, this will do three things.
1. It will put the birds eye exactly on the intersection of the thirds.
2. It takes the bird off centre.
3. It will remove the light blob at bottom RHS and the light bit of twig sticking out from the lower trunk.
Very small changes but IMHO ones that lift the image another level.
Now there's a cracker. Ann. Superb. And you reckon my Sigma 600mm is sharp? That is a top shot - have short-listed it.
tis a beauty Ann
An excellent shot. great detail.
brilliant colour against the almost monochrome woods behind
Sound advice about the 1/3rds Ann and a superb woody capture
