I am not wanting to be big headed over this KF but I really like the way this shot has turned out - many thanks for all c/c's on yesterdays upload I am very grateful
Super shot Ann, my goodness you've come a long way from when I first met you. Well done, I know how hard you have worked to get shots like this.
A excellent capture
One to be very proud of, Ann, a cracking image, what a great pose and the perfect background. Carol

I am sort of impressed
It is what it says on the tin, a beauty.
Yes.. this is a cracking shot Ann. Well done!
A beautiful capture Ann I never get tired of seeing these little beautys.
Lovely angle and composition.
Well, I would be big headed if I had captured him - glorious.
Well done Ann. A cracking shot and as good as any on the site. I must say I do find this type of BG much better than the entirely plain. It seems to help to establish some level of location. Superb.
A superb capture. Nicely positioned and a great pose x x x
Beautifully detailed sharp Kingy capture Ann - lovely pose and plumage colours. Love the eye and the soft bg tones. Well done.
Beautifully captured. Sylvia
Every right to be proud of this one, Ann.....it's a real beauty in every way. Lovely work.
Really nice shot Ann, beautiful colour and pose.
Incredible shot Ann Better than ever.
Super capture Ann, great pose, very well done.
this is a cracking KF shot Ann
I don't know what you have done of late:- camera settings etc; or is it the 300mm prime with the TC, that is totally outclassing your Sigma 500 ?
Anyway, I know that bird...seen it before with the turned up tail
PS Well done again Ann
Great shot Ann... I maybe would shave a tad of of the left hand side?
Superb and stunning shot.
You have every right to be proud of this extremely fine shot Ann. The Kingfisher is so sharp, it's brilliant and that background is just perfect. Well done!
Well done Ann - your best Kingfisher yet I think.
A cracking capture, Ann.... think this has to be your best KF yet!
I reckon you could afford a little tighter on the crop here Ann as it has lots of detail and then give it less room on the left. As the judges say, too much wasted space doing nothing.
Still though as I was stood next to you when you got this it is first class with that little lens
Ann this is your 'best'!! so well captured
Superb capture, pin sharp and a wonderful light in his eye. Possibly crop a bit from the LHS? That's being picky on a top class image. Wonderful!
Looks great Ann. Looks like he's just going to fly.
Very well captured Ann,nice comp and excellent detail..
Well captured Ann
Wow...what a great capture of this Kingfisher Ann.
Excellent details and colours.
These birds are not easy to get pics of....i have tried and failed!
Must say I too think it's one of your best Ann, really well done in all respects,
1st class image Ann, surely one to be very proud of.
my fav. bird expertly captured
Excellent capture Ann
This must be your best yet of a Kingie...love the pose.
If I was to contemplate a crop I would take it off the bottom and leave most,or all, on the left....just to confuse things for you !!!!..lol

So people think better kit = better images..interesting.
Your best KF yet Ann.
Excellent work with the kingfishers...very envious.
....pretty much agree with Keith on this one...tad off the top and a lot off the bottom.
...but what do I know...much better than I've ever got
Great shot, I spent 3 hours the other day in a makeshift hide waiting for one to land on the spot where my camera was focused. Along it came but landed on another branch out of shot, I'll get it yet though.
A real belter Ann, you've every right to feel very proud with the way this one has turned out
