These birds are so nervous and easilt frightened - you have done well to get so close even with tgis lens. The colours and detail in the plumage are beautiful.

Classic image of my favourite bird, well worth the UA. You've isolated him beautifully against a very appropriately water-colour effect in the background. Good crop too.

Superb Grey Heron capture Ann - wonderful pin sharp detail and plumage textures and tones. Smashing eye detail too. I agree with Richard - I think this is your best bird capture ever as well. That tripod is really getting some use now and to full advantage.
