taken on a good meeting with Brian65 while away for a few days - the only good weather day we had and a pure stroke of luck
still not a great photo but you never know it could be the start of something new - it certainly renewed my interest for taking wild life pics again
thanks Brian

Amazing, love the colours and the background, RPRT shot well done.
Like it Ann, great sense of movement.
Regards
Trev.
Great take-off action Ann, what do you mean not great? it's very good for my money, catching any bird as good as this when it's not something you do all the time is tremendous.
Dougie
Great shot, Ann, you've captured it sharp where it needs to be, yet showed movement in its wings
Excellently positioned above the branch, too ![]()

Did you enjoy your birthday.... to be honest I tend to forget mine

too damn wet Barbs we came home last night![]()
1/1250 second and you still have wonderful motion blur in the wings - this is about energy and movement, and the miracle of flight. I much prefer this sort of image, which actually says something about life, to pin-sharp birds-on-sticks, which might just as well come courtesy of the taxidermist.
F4.2 has given you a greeny gold bokeh haze as background, beautifully Impressionistic.

Wonderful capture, Ann, the movement and wing shape is superb. Amazing capture.

Really well done Ann, not as easy as it looks, keep em coming ![]()
Geoff.
A tremendous opportunistic capture Ann, you are flying high tonight
