WOW! This is stunning, Ann, a superb colour, wonderful pose an the detail is spot on, down to the curled proboscis. Has to be one of your very best images to date. Agree with Richard's question, would love to know the ID. Hopefully Ade can come up with an ID

I cant find the ID as yet but I am on to it if Ade doesnt beat me to it it could be Danaus Chrysippus but the wings are closed on mine - it could also be Precis Almana, watch this space
A stunning close up Ann, such wonderful light and colour captured, such a shame this beautiful butterfly has a chunk missing from its wing
