Another experiment with tonemapping - will upload one of the original exposures as V2. This was 4 exposures combined using Photomatix.

A first class image Allie, the result you've achieved is most pleasing and eyecatching
These are beautiful flowers and must admit I like #1 its 'bolder' and really stands out... the tone mapping seems to be working a treat.... well done you for trying something different, always a pleasure to see something 'out of the ordainary' so keep 'em coming.

Lovely shot and the technique works well with this image, although I think I prefer V2 as it looks more delicate.
Such a lovely composition Allie & well done for what you have achieved.
I love the colour of the flower in V1, but prefer the background of V2.
