Silky by Potra

Thanks Peter, I don't think they would be specifically blocking EPZ but probably IP addresses in Europe.
They have been blocking images on Twitter and many foreign TV channels. Domestically they have complete control over TV broadcasts and are killing the newspapers by not allowing imports of paper.

Quote: Stunning capture Smile Every detail is perfect Smile
would reduce the enhancement of the yellow part though, but that's just down to personal opinion Smile

Thank you Ishan for commenting the picture.
I really cannot enhance one color only, I use Picasa as editor and don't have the options of separating colors.
Colors are very strong in the tropics, I increased contrast a bit and apply a fake Orton filter in edition to give it depth.
Thanks again.

Thanks everybody for your comments!

Quote: Perfection...
not certain what your title means though...
hope all is o.k where you are

No message to decipher from this picture Barbara.
This fight is a long one, it took them 15 years to destroy all the institutions that make up a democracy, it will not be quick or easy to get these leeches out of my country.
This is not a sprint, it is a marathon. Now they are kidnapping all the students they can find in the streets protesting.
I am very afraid for the female students, they are raping them pretty badly.

Soto by Potra

Quote: Brilliant, all most scary...
Regards Nathan GrinGrinGrin

This is hanging over the heads of anyone that enters the building of the National System of Youth and Infant Orchestras. We have Soto's sculptures everywhere in the city. They are awesome, when there is high wind the sticks make noises. I love them, there is at least one of his works in the Centre Pompidou.
Cheers Nathan.

Thanks Carmen! I am big fan of the old salsa (meaning like Fania old...) Smile
One of my favorite songs of Ray Barreto.

Thanks Sandy! There is a link in the previous picture to a short video so you can have a good idea of the music.

San Juan Drummers by Potra

San Juan Drummers

You are right, it is a very intense jamming. I was about an hour taking pictures of the performance and when I left I was dumb with the high volume. I will be uploading more. The only downside is that there was very little sunlight left.
I made friends with one the the girlfriends of the drummers and hope they will tell me in advance next time they do this performance on the street. I like to see people´s reaction to it.
Thanks Peter for commenting on the picture.

Beach 5

A work of art, Alan. This wonderful array of lights and textures could only be seen by a privileged eye.
Splendid composition. I am in complete awe of the curved stream of water that leads my eyes to that spectacularly bright horizon. The black sky is perfect.

Quote: Sorry Marian!
Kate Blush

Nothing to be sorry Kate, now I can say that Marain is my name in Gaelic! Wink

Quote: . Strength in anonymity. Powerfull stuff Marian, and you will prevail.

Quote: This is stunning, one of the best uses of strong directional light that I've seen. The figures have the anonymity, and the hints of individuality, of the Terracotta Army.

Quote: Must be viewed "Large" to be appreciated.
A brooding stillness, an immovable implacable force that it seems can barely be contained. A gathering of strength.
A very powerful statement.

Quote: Remarkable image.. many faceless in individuality but the power of a hurricane in collectiveness.. nothing in isolation but supreme in togetherness.. in a little commune, a society, a nation, or even the entire world in different levels.. Brilliant, meaningful image..

I am really glad this image conveys such strength. These were people leaving a protest of several hours under an inclement sun. We tend to leave at the same time because that minimizes the chances of being harassed or attacked by the police.
I certainly hope that we will prevail because the other option is a communist dictatorship.
Thanks for your support.
