Hey Jennn, definitely an excellent original helps a lot! I got this one with a very strong light and looks like my settings were correct. I am very happy with the result. If anyone asks I can upload the color version.
Thanks commenting sweet Jennn.
Quote: Your pov makes her look towards the right, Marian. I would therefore crop more on the left and add a bit more space to the right for her to look into, taking her away from the centre of the frame.
Otherwise there's a feeling of peace and serenity from her relaxed face.
Thanks Malc! I would've never thought of that. I am shortsighted so I don't really see details when shooting at such a distance. I don't have a good image with a larger space on the right.
Quote: What a serene face she has
I think I would have cloned out the black ring
It seems a trifle heavy looking
And that's advice from someone that doesn't believe in playing around with a photo
When I learn LR or PS I will venture on cloning large things like this halo. I am still a Picasa user and only clone out little things, like vultures and cables...Yuck!
Thanks for your comments and votes, I appreciate your input very much so I can improve my photos.
PS: BTW, today (23rd) is my birthday!
Jose Gregorio Hernandez has many devotees in Venezuela. He was a medical doctor at the beginning of the last century. He would do visits for free to many people and was the first person killed by the only car that there was in Caracas. People say he performs miracles.
Quote: I failed to register a comment here yesterday - maybe I could not devise anything suitable - but I think the comparison between the three boys is wonderful: the boy on the left is trying to look cool, the one in the middle is trying to stay awake, and the one on the right is trying to keep cool!
It's a brilliant candid character-study in excellent b&w, and I am very envious!
Thank you Bill! This UA is really unexpected. I am so glad you found this image worth it of your preference.
I have another picture of the kid in the middle just seconds after gulping the last of the ice cream cone.
They were so bored and probably tired of waiting for their turn to participate in the procession.
Thank you for the comments, after two GEA I don't want to disappoint my public, ehem ehem.
I learn so much from your pictures, that is what makes this site so rich.
Your support warms my heart.
Thank you so much.
