I've learned a lot the past few days re definition of an abstract {thank you Willie(banehawi)}
and enjoyed and was inspired by mods done to my Riverside Museum images.
My goodness we can learn a lot on this site.
Special thanks to Billy for User Award and to all who voted for Boat Abstract
which wasn't strictly speaking an abstract at all!!
Today an Ox-Eye Daisy image with a bit of bokeh texture added.
Hope you all have good week ahead.
Kate

Like this a lot, the rising diagonals convey hope, aspirations, optimism. It's dynamic, there's a sense of movement in breeze. The toning is attractive, but a bit sombre - I'd like to see a little bit more brightness and contrast, not to spoil the atmosphere but to lighten the sky a little and let the white of the central daisy sing out more clearly.
One other detail - the thin dark stroke in the frame is good, but I'd get rid of the little sharp bits of cut-off leaves rising from the base line, just a bit left of centre. They drag my eye downwards, when the real direction here is upwards.

Love the lighting here Kate - my eye is drawn instantly to the brighter foremost daisy in an upward glance so this composition definitely works. Would look lovely on a wall. Smile

One of your very best Kate. The low point of view allowing one to enjoy this superb composition from a perspective one would not normally find. The detail throughout is wonderfully crisp and well defined, whilst your choice of processing adds to the charm and appeal so very much.
