It is the color of the sky, I only increased the contrast, that was it. I didn't apply filters or tint to the picture. Thank you Herman for the comment!

This one, with the black and blue, is very strong, Marian. And I wonder what it would look like as a monochrome, it is such a simple abstraction.

Good and sharp - could be interpreted as 'conflict' perhaps?
Clever stuff, Marian.

I much prefer the colour version the mono version is somewhat dark and oppressive.

Works great in mono as well, Marian. I tried a few, but not satisfied enough.

A bucket full of talent and the world at your feet. Another superb pair of abstracts, each as good as the other Marian.

I can't choose between these two Marian - both make quite dramatic images
and would look great on a large wall.

The colour version is lovely. I'm personally less keen on B&W for this kind of image, where there are basically just two different tones, because for me B&W is about tonal variation as much as anything. In the absence of that, black and stark white will often work, but otherwise it's usually the colour for me. Good dynamic image again, Marian Smile

Alan

My personal honest opinion, which I know you prefer, Marian.Smile

Straight forward choice black with blue b/g or black with grey b/g. blue for me the grey seems a bit insipid. In either case the composition of the silhouetted fronds is just right.
