I was going to upload one with the "other third" for Dave (whiterose1) but then I thought this cropping is more interesting.
I like both of these equally, Marian. Very nice tones in the B&W, and lovely strong colour in V1. I particularly like the texture of the sand, and the way it contrasts with the smooth surfaces of the leaves.

Thanks Alan. Love it when I achieve my goal, in this case was exactly the contrast between the two surfaces. Plus, the straight lines vs that odd circle...A friend said he sees a face in the sand...mwahahahaha.
A wonderful abstracted nature shot Marian!, great detail, colours, textures and the diagonal main plant star works a treat, great shot!
Great lines on the diagonal!
Definitely V1 for me Marian !! A true beauty this one
Excellent colour version is better.
Good to see the sharp focus includes the sand, Marian.
Yes, I can see a face, too.
Looks like an alien.
One of your more colourful images.
The vibrancy of the colour version wins the vote.
I love the contrast between the leaves and the sand - the colour version is my favourite, Marian.
Lovely textures Marian Colour is the winner today
I also see that face including the shoulders, marian. You continue killing me. Excellent shots!
I like both versions as they work well.
I love the coloured version with those wonderful warm shades
and the very feel of the sun.
Well composed Marian.
A great capture Marian, like the colour image best
The colours and textures, forms and shapes your have captured seem to come alive in this wonderfully intense colour variant, whilst the monochrome seems to bring everything back down to earth Marian.
Look like red hot knife blades in a forge, Marian. Excellent diagonals on the rise to the right.
Love the intense colours and diagonal lines, so V1 for me

I could've named it "Blades"...I will save the name for another one, thanks Malc!
See, I actually didn't think (not consciously at least) about the direction of the diagonals. I did notice that all the other pictures have the diagonals down, and this one is the exception.
I see the color version won hands down today!
Thank you so much for the kind comments.

Don't die just yet Nezih, I must see more of those wonderful mountains you have over there in beautiful Turkey.

Now we know not only that "they are out there" but clearly they are in Margarita Island. Those aliens have great taste!
Another lovely duo. Both great but I think V1 has the edge. Don
Stunning! One of your best!
Symetric, organic and very eye catching!
Like this a lot.Very artistic capture.Like both versions equally
